5. Lukman Meriwala
The Delhi Capitals pouched left-arm pacer Lukman Meriwala for a sum of INR 20 Lakhs in the 2021 IPL auctions. Meriwala has an excellent record in domestic T20 cricket and has scalped 72 wickets at an average of just 14.54 in 44 T20 matches. Meriwala will certainly be a man to keep an eye on in the upcoming IPL edition.
4. Krishnappa Gowtham
INR 9.25 Crores. That is the amount of money that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shelled out in the 2021 IPL auction to procure the services of Krishnappa Gowtham. Gowtham is an excellent all-rounder and has featured in 24 matches in the IPL. Not only can he strike lusty blows towards the end of the innings, but he can also scalp wickets with his handy off-spin. Gowtham has taken 13 wickets in the IPL thus far and has also scored 186 runs at a strike rate of 169.09.
3. Rahul Tewatia
If there was one name that hogged the limelight in the 2020 edition of the IPL, it was that of Rahul Tewatia. Tewatia’s scintillating assault on Sheldon Cottrell with the bat, where he smashed the left-arm pacer for 5 sixes in an over will forever be etched in the memories of IPL fans. The left-hander also accumulated excellent numbers in the 13th IPL edition. Tewatia scored 255 runs last year in the IPL with the willow and scored his runs at an average of 42.50 and at a strike rate of 139.34.
2. Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal was in sizzling form in the 2020 edition of the IPL. The 20-year-old batting sensation plundered 473 runs and scored them at an average of 31.53. The left-hander also pillaged 737 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in just 7 innings. Padikkal will look to continue with his excellent run of form with the willow in the 2021 edition of the IPL as well.

Ruturaj Gaikwad showed a lot of ‘spark’ in the 2020 edition of the IPL. The right-hander scored 204 runs in the 6 innings that he played last year, and scored his runs at an average of 51.00. Ruturaj also scored 3 consecutive half-centuries for the CSK side last year and is surely a batsman to watch out for.
