WATCH: Ben Cutting hilariously celebrates catch off free hit in BBL
Ben Cutting experienced a brain fade moment during the Big Bash League (BBL) encounter between Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder. Off the 4th ball of the 16th over of the Sydney Sixers innings, Daniel Christian was facing a Free-Hit delivery and hit the ball straight to Cutting who was stationed at cover.

Cutting took a good catch, but failed to realize that it was a free hit, and threw the ball in the air. And, by the time Cutting came to terms with what actually happened, the batters completed 2 runs. Also, Daniel Christian was seen laughing at Cutting as well.
Sydney Sixers beat Sydney Thunder by 30 runs
The Sydney Sixers beat the Sydney Thunder side by 30 runs in the contest between the two outfits. Batting first, the Sixers posted a total of 168/4 in their allotted 16 overs. Daniel Hughes top-scored for his side with a blistering 26-ball 50.
Chasing a revised target of 173 for victory, the Sydney Thunder side was bowled out for 142. Apart from Jason Sangha who scored a whirlwind 30-ball 47, not even a single batter from the Sydney Thunder side could even cross the 30-run mark.
Hayden Kerr scalped 3 wickets with the ball for the Sydney Sixers and constantly applied the brakes on the Sydney Thunder outfit. Daniel Christian won the Player of the Match award for his 17-ball 41*. The Sydney Sixers are placed at second place in the points table, while the Sydney Thunder outfit is stationed at the 3rd spot.
