IPL 2021: DC vs CSK Preview – Table toppers collide to claim the top spot
Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings are all set to go against each other in an IPL 2021 league game. Even though the two teams have qualified for the playoffs, this game holds some meaning to both of them. The winner of this contest is more likely to finish in the top two. Though both might end in the top two, a win would be a huge confidence booster ahead of the playoffs.
Chennai were beaten by Delhi earlier this season in their very first game. However, since then CSK have won nine games. Delhi too has nine wins in 12 matches, one of which came in their last game against Mumbai. CSK, on the other hand, are coming into this match after a loss against Rajasthan Royals. Whoever wins this match will secure a top two spot, and given how the points table is set up, this could be a cracking game, bringing two of the best teams in this season.

IPL 2021 Match 50 – Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings
Venue: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Team News:
Delhi Capitals: After the end of the last match, Rishabh Pant gave an update on Marcus Stoinis’ injury. He revealed that the all-rounder is getting fitter and might be back in the team soon. However, he may miss this game and be kept ready for the playoffs. If that happens, Steve Smith will continue batting at no. 3, with both Pant and Shreyas Iyer slipping a place down the order. Shimron Hetmyer, Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada have been the other three overseas players and might continue to play. Delhi might think of resting them ahead of the playoffs, but considering this one is against Chennai, Delhi might do otherwise.
Chennai Super Kings: Dwayne Bravo has sat out from the XI for a few matches, but his absence was felt in the last game, especially with the ball. Sam Curran has gone for more than 50 runs in the two matches he has played and might be dropped for this contest. Josh Hazlewood also had a bad day, but Dhoni might still want to give him another game. Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali will also play, unless CSK wants to rest them. KM Asif played ahead of Deepak Chahar in the last game, and the latter’s absence in the powerplay was felt. He should return to the XI having got his rest. The rest of XI might not see a change.
