IPL 2021: KKR vs SRH Preview – Mercurial Kolkata up against party spoilers Hyderabad
Kolkata Knight Riders made things difficult for themselves after losing their game against Punjab Kings. Now, they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad, with a genuine need to get two points. KKR might take some confidence from the fact that they have won the first match of this season against Hyderabad, but in reality, it has been a long time since that win.
They have five wins from their 12 matches and they need to win both their matches if they want to stand a chance to qualify. On the other hand, SRH are playing for their pride now, trying to figure out what should be their plan for the next mega auction. A lot is at stake for KKR, while SRH can cause an issue or two, with no pressure on them.

Team News:
Kolkata Knight Riders: KKR have been going through what seems like an injury crisis. After Andre Russell missed the last two matches, there are concerns over Lockie Ferguson’s fitness as well. The New Zealand speedster missed the last game against Punjab. If he is fit, he will come into the team in place of Tim Southee, who didn’t have a great game last time around. Russell’s place was filled by Tim Seifert and after the experiment failed, KKR might opt for an all-rounder instead. They have Ben Cutting and Shakib Al Hasan in the team, who have a chance of coming in. Rest of the XI should stay the same.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: There isn’t a lot that Hyderabad changed going into the last game and the results didn’t see any change either. Their loss against Chennai might make them want to give some youngsters a chance, but their bench strength doesn’t look quite strong at this moment. Jason Roy, Kane Williamson, Jason Holder and Rashid Khan will continue to be their four overseas picks. Going by what changes they have made in the last few matches, we might not see any changes in the Indian contingent.
