Things changed for me after I was hit by Mohammed Shami: Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya played a crucial role for the Mumbai Indians (MI) side with the bat in their clash against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) outfit. The right-handed batsman scored 40* at a strike rate of 133.33 to help the Rohit Sharma-led outfit win the match with 6 wickets to spare.

Pandya also got hit on his body by a bouncer from Mohammed Shami, and the 27-year-old has stated that things changed for him after that. Pandya even admitted that he found it difficult out in the middle before he got the blow from Shami.

Pandya also opined that every opportunity is a new opportunity for a player, and the player can make his team win and emerge as a hero.

“To be honest, I will give credit to Mohammed Shami as well because the ball I got hit, I told Pollard that this woke me up and this changed things for me. Before that, I was finding it difficult. Over the period of time, I have realized when I make sure that every game, every opportunity is a new opportunity.

You can be a hero and can make your team win. I forget what has happened in the past and I make sure to give my 100 percent,” said Hardik Pandya in a video that was posted on iplt20.com.

You should be prepared when you are called to play: Nathan Coulter Nile

Mumbai Indians’ (MI) pacer Nathan Coulter Nile stated that Adam Milne deserved the right to start in the Mumbai Indians’ playing XI in the initial matches. The right-arm pacer concluded by stating that a player has to make sure that he is ready to offer his services for the team when he is called up.

“I think it is more about being ready. Adam Milne deserved the right to start us off. He was bowling fast in the warm-up games, so he got the start but we did not get the results we wanted. You have to make sure that you are prepared when you are called to play,” said Nathan Coulter Nile.

The Mumbai Indians will play their next IPL match on 2nd October 2021 against the Delhi Capitals (DC) side.
