IPL 2021: DC vs SRH, Stats Preview – Upcoming records and approaching milestones

Table-toppers Delhi Capitals and bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad will resume their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 campaign against each other. The encounter will take place at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday (September 22). The two sides had entirely different campaigns in the first half of the season which makes the Capitals firm favourites for this fixture. Under Rishabh Pant’s leadership, the Delhi-based franchise was on a roll.

With five wins in seven games, DC were at the top of the team standings at the time of season suspension. On the contrary, nothing much went SRH’s way. They struggled to identify their best combination and lost one game after even. In search of better results, the franchise even sacked David Warner as captain midway and handed the leadership responsibility to Kane Williamson.

Meanwhile, SRH, in the first leg, won just one of their first seven games. This means a couple of defeats in UAE might be enough to end their hopes of making a place in the playoffs. It has to be noted DC and SRH played out a draw when they met earlier in the competition. However, Rishabh Pant’s team clinched the contest in the super over.

Meanwhile, let’s look at important stats and numbers ahead of the 33rd game of the Indian Premier League 2021:
