IPL 2021: CSK vs MI Preview – T20 Carnival returns with a clash of heavyweights
As the second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 is all set to begin, fans will witness the most cherished rivalry in the league. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will take on each other for the second round of matches. The two teams have already played a game this season, which happened in Delhi, just before the tournament was postponed.
In that match, Mumbai managed to chase down a total of 219. Given the batting talent in the two sides, we could witness another high-scoring game but the wicket in Dubai doesn’t often allow that to happen. Chennai are placed in the second position with five wins in seven matches. Mumbai, meanwhile have won four out of their seven games and are sitting in the fourth position.

Team News:
Chennai Super Kings: There is a bit of doubt over Faf du Plessis, considering the fact that he wasn’t fit for the CPL 2021 final just a few days prior. If he misses out, Robbie Uthappa could find a spot in the CSK XI for the first time. The one freed up overseas slot will also help them with the bowling unit. Imran Tahir might get a game, having played only one during the first phase. Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, DJ Bravo are expected to be the other three picks for CSK, with them maintaining a similar Indian contingent.
Mumbai Indians: During their last game before the suspension, Mumbai Indians had James Neesham, Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult and Quinton de Kock as their four overseas stars and this unit had a great depth in the batting as well as good enough bowling options. With all the players available, Mumbai might continue with that combination. Their seven Indian players have been quite consistently the same and they are likely to continue with the similar unit.
