IPL

The second leg of IPL 2021 is getting underway in just a couple of days and players and franchises cannot keep up with their excitement ahead of the most celebrated T20 league. While all the players and members are reaching UAE gradually, Mumbai Indians star pacer Trent Boult joined the line as his quarantine days got over.

Boult reached the gulf nation and expressed his happiness on meeting his Mumbai Indians teammates. He added that it feels great to be back and as his six days of quarantine are over, he is looking forward to having some fun times with his IPL teammates. Boult is considered as one of the premier pacers of Mumbai alongside Jasprit Bumrah and both of them leave no chance to wreak havoc on opponents especially in death overs.

“I’ve enjoyed a couple of months. I’m really excited to get back here’ It’s obviously pretty hot. Six days in quarantine has been ticked off. Look forward to getting involved.

“There are obviously some good memories. Coming back through to the same hotel, same room. Amazing team room and obviously, the facilities are exactly the same. But there has been some good time. So hopefully, we can refresh the memory and pick up where we left off,” said Boult in a video posted by MI on Sunday.

But the beauty is, we’ve had some success here: Trent Boult

Talking about Boult, he took seven wickets in eight games at an economy of 8.46 in the first leg of IPL 2021. The Mumbai star says that all franchises and players look in a good tone but they have already been successful here, so, it’s just the time to reflect back and continue on the same lines.

“Different circumstances, with half the tournament played. So, I’m sure all the franchises are well prepared and looking forward to getting into it. But the beauty is, we’ve had some success here. So, it’s about going back and reflecting on that and hopefully continuing what we know best,” added Boult.

The opening clash of the UAE leg of IPL 2021 will take place between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings where Boult’s role will remain essential.
