England announce 15-man squad for T20 WC 2021
England Cricket Board have announced their 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 which is all set to commence from October 17 in the UAE. Many nations have already announced their squad for the high-profile event and Englishmen just joined the line. The defending champions of the ODI World Cup would be keen on marking their authority in the T20 WC also.
Ace batsman Eoin Morgan will be leading the side in the UAE and it remains to be seen how they will cope up without the services of some of their star players. Ace all-rounder Ben Stokes would be missed in England squad as he announced an indefinite break from cricket recently owing to his mental health. England’s ace pacer Jofra Archer will also be missing the high-profile event due to his elbow injury.

Jason Roy and Jos Buttler will most likely open the order for England in the UAE. Buttler, who took a break from international cricket during the home series against India, would be eyeing a comeback after becoming a father for the second time. It has to be noted that during the last one year, England have opted for a rotation policy for the well-being of players. While players had to sit a lot of time in the bio-bubble due to COVID-19, ECB decided to pick players alternatively.
ICC No.1 T20I batsman Dawid Malan is one of the crucial aspects of England’s batting lineup who would be aiming to make a mark in the UAE and get the trophy for his team.
All-rounder Moeen Ali’s place would be vital in the squad after he cemented his place across format post warming benches for England. He even led Birmingham Phoenix in Men’s Hundred efficiently. The leg-spin attack led by Adil Rashid would be aiming to do well on the slow pitches of UAE which will favour spinners.
