Here’s Mohammed Shami’s hilarious response to Rishabh Pant’s birthday wish
India pacer Mohammed Shami celebrated his 31st birthday on September 3. He was resting on his special day as he wasn’t included in the playing XI for the ongoing Oval Test against England to manage his workload. Wishes flooded in for the fast bowler from all corners of the cricket fraternity as many hailed him as one of the best pacers for India in modern-day cricket.
Like many, Shami’s teammate Rishabh Pant, who is in England for the Test series, also took to Twitter to wish the birthday boy. However, the wicketkeeper-batsman tried to pull Shami’s leg reminding him that the latter is fast getting old and at the same time, the ball is also coming fast out of his hands.
“@MdShami11 bhai, ball aur umar dono tezi se nikli jaa rahi hai. Happy birthday!” Rishabh wrote in his tweet.
Mohammed Shami, apart from his pace, is known for his humour off the field as well. His hilarious response on Pant’s fitness has left everyone on social media in splits. Shami took a dig at Rishabh’s increased weight and told him that no one can stop the increasing age but weight can definitely be controlled.
Here’s the thread of the conversation:
