The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side has signed right-arm pace bowler Akash Deep for the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that will commence on 19th September 2021. Akash Deep will replace Washington Sundar in the side.
Sundar is currently suffering from a finger injury. Sundar sustained the injury in a practice match before the Test series between England and India. Sundar has not completely recovered from this injury, and as a result, has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2021.
In fact, the RCB side released an official statement stating that Sundar will not take part in the second half of IPL 2021, and Akash Deep will replace him in the side for the UAE leg.
