Mohammed Siraj gives a perfect reply to English crowd
Mohammed Siraj and his aggressive bowling was the talking point for quite a few days after the Lord’s Test which India won. Tempers flared from both the sides in that game and the visitors were benefited with England losing the plot. However, come Headingley, the tables had turned completely with the home side skittling India for just 78 runs in the first innings.
England’s openers – Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns – then wore Indian bowlers out who sprayed a lot in search of quick wickets while defending a low score. No wonder it was a forgettable day for the touring party and even the crowd was pumped up to tease them after what had transpired at Lord’s. They tried to get under the skin of the Indian team and it was no surprise that their target was Siraj.
In the last session of the day’s play, closer to the stumps, when Mohammed Siraj was walking back to his fielding position, a section of English crowd seemed to have asked him the score to tease him. The bowler from Hyderabad though wasn’t going to back down as he took on the England fans and responded them brilliantly.
With his action, he told them India are leading the series 1-0 and it is England who are behind at the moment in the five-match series.

A tough day at the office for India
It was one of those days for India when everything went wrong. Their pacers tried their best to pick wickets but the inside edges didn’t hit the stumps while the ball missed the outside edge a lot of times. Moreover, there was a drop catch as well and in the end, they were 42 runs behind in the first wickets with all 10 wickets intact of the opposition.
It is going to be a tough Test for India but they are known to make a comeback and one can expect a fired up team India in the first session of Day 2. Mohammed Siraj can be key for them as he seems to be the bowler who can get under the batsman’s skin with his aggressive bowling.
