Jemimah Rodrigues: The girl is ruling the roost in England on and off the field
Jemimah Rodrigues marked her entry in The Hundred tournament in style, scoring a belligerent unbeaten 92 off 43 balls. Her quality stroke play on a show that caught everybody’s eye included as many as 17 fours and a six. She continued the momentum by hitting two more half-centuries 60 off 41 and 57 off 44. Rodrigues is currently the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 241 runs under her sleeves so far.
If her performances on the field are dominating the opposition, then her liveliness and enthusiasm are entertaining her fans off the field as usual. Rodrigues is always jovial and full of energy. Whether it is singing around with her teammates or teaching them Hindi, the batter is making sure that she makes most of her time on the England soil. Recently, she tried her hands on some commentary for the first time during the ongoing tournament.
What an experience!!! Thanks @SkyCricket for having me in the Comm Box today 🤩

Jemimah joined the likes of Nasser Hussain and Mark Butcher in the commentary box and was seen enjoying the task off the pitch with the mic. She is making her presence count in England both on and off the 22 yards. Rodrigues however is walking this purple patch after been dropped from the Indian side during the T20Is against England. Though she has been a promising talent ever since her debut, she experienced a dip in her form when cricket resumed amidst the pandemic.
Jemimah Rodrigues – Through the ebbs and flows
Her single-digit scores, strike rate, performances in the home series against the Proteas, and dismaying outing with the bat in England brought her under scrutiny. However, she has shone brighter through all of these by arming her talent better and displaying her flair to the world with her recent knocks. Rodrigues has turned the world upside down for her by clearing every slate that had things written about her form.
The game of cricket they say is a great leveller and it doesn’t take much time for things to change. The Mumbai batter getting in form is a huge positive for the Indian Women’s team ahead of the Australia series and the World Cup. It would tick the massive box for the side if she holds the number three position and keeps the flow of runs going.
