3 cricketers who have featured in ICC ODI team of the year most times

It also announces ICC ODI and Test team of the year. Some players who have performed consistently well have featured in these teams more often than others. 3. Virat Kohli – 6

Indian captain Virat Kohli is considered among the greatest ODI players of all time. He holds some major ODI records including being the fastest to 10000 runs in the format. Virat has featured in the ICC ODI team of the year a total of six times. This was in the years 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. Till now, he has scored 12169 runs in 245 innings at an incredible average of 59.07 and a strike rate of 93.17. This includes 43 centuries and 62 half-centuries.

2. AB de Villiers – 7

Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers was named in the ICC ODI team a total of seven times. This was in the years 2010, 2011 and then continuously from 2013 to 2017. AB de Villiers was the number 1 batsman in the ICC ODI ranking for a long period of time. Overall, he scored 9577 runs in 218 innings including 25 tons.

Former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is regarded among the greatest captains in cricket history. He first featured in the ICC ODI team in the year 2006. After this from 2008 to 2014, he was included in the team for seven consecutive years. In his eight appearances, he was the captain of the team on six occasions. MS Dhoni aggregated 10773 runs in 350 ODIs at an average of 50.57 including 10 hundreds and 73 fifties.
