SL vs IND: Commentary panel announced for the tour
The star-studded commentary panel for the upcoming India tour of Sri Lanka has been named. Sony Sports Network will telecast the matches in four channels- Sony Six (English), Sony Ten1 (English), Sony Ten3 (Hindi), and Sony Ten4 (Tamil and Telugu). The games will also be streamed live on Sony Liv, which is available on the Play Store app.
Russell Arnold and Murali Kartik, the two former cricketers, have been picked to send live updates about the matches from the venue itself. It’s pertinent to note that all the matches are set to take place at the renowned R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Sanjay Manjrekar is a high-profile name, who is in the English commentary team along with Ajit Agarkar and Ajay Jadeja, who both are former Indian cricketers. Amit Mishra, who’s a part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), will be seen commentating in Hindi.

The itinerary consists of three ODIs from July 13 to 18 followed by as many T20Is from July 21 to 25. The Lankans are currently in England where they are taking part in a three-match ODI series against the hosts. Kusal Perera and Co lost the T20I series 0-3 after which they slumped in the 50-overs format as well.
India, on the other hand, picked two squads- one for their tour of the United Kingdom (UK) and the other for the Lanka tour. One team, led by Virat Kohli, lost the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. They are net set to play a five-match Test series against the Brits.
The other team is captained by Shikhar Dhawan and has six uncapped players in it. Earlier, former Sri Lanka skipper Arjuna Ranatunga slammed India for sending a “second string” team, but SLC reckoned that the Men in Blue have a strong squad at their disposal.
