England Women announce squad for ODI series against India, Danielle Wyatt axed
The England Women’s side will take on the Indian Women’s team in a three-match ODI series starting on 27th June 2021. The 2nd and 3rd ODIs of this series will be played on 30th June and 3rd July respectively. This ODI series will be followed by a three-match T20I series as well, which will commence on 9th July 2021.
And, England has announced its squad for the highly anticipated ODI series against the Indian side. Heather Knight will be the skipper of the side. Also, 22-year-old all-rounder, Sophia Dunkley has been included in the England squad for the ODI series against Mithali Raj and her women.

And, the big news that has come in is that Danielle Wyatt has been axed from the England squad. Wyatt had endured a poor run of form in the ODI series against New Zealand and had scored just 18 runs in the three innings put together. Wyatt has featured in 77 matches for England and has scored 1046 runs at an average of 19.01. She has also taken 27 wickets with the ball in ODI cricket as well.
India Women and England Women played an excellent one-off Test match
India Women and England Women were involved in a spine-tingling one-off Test match at Bristol. The match had several twists and turns, and in the end resulted in a pulsating draw, as the Indian Women survived as many as 121 overs in their second innings. For England, the star performers with the willow were skipper Heather Knight and Sophia Dunkley. While Knight scored a flawless 95, Dunkley helped herself to an unbeaten 74.
Shafali Verma announced her arrival in the longest format of the game in style and scored half-centuries in both innings for the Indian side. Sophie Ecclestone sizzled with the ball in hand for England. She scalped a total of 8 wickets in the match and constantly put the Indian side under pressure.
