1 – The Kiwi opener also became the first player to score a double ton on Test debut against England. The second-highest score after him is of West Indies cricketer George Headley, who played a 176-run knock in 1930.

7 – Overall, Conway is the seventh player to hit a double century in his first-ever match.

2 – Among the Test debutants for New Zealand, Conway is only the second to hit a double hundred, and he also registered the second-highest score in the tally. Before him, Mathew Sinclair achieved the milestone against West Indies in 1999. He scored 214 runs on his Test debut.

2 – Among the players who opened the innings on their Test debut, Conway became only the second player to hit a double ton. Before him, Brendon Kuruppu of Sri Lanka scored 201* on his debut as an opener against New Zealand in 1987.
