IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals bring up #ProjectPlasma to motivate COVID-19 survivors

India is facing difficult times as the country is fighting a battle with the Covid-19 virus. The daily tally of positive coronavirus has reached 300k+ and the same has resulted in the country facing a dearth of medical equipment, oxygen gas, and other necessary things. In these tough times, IPL franchises have started an initiative of educating people regarding the deadly virus and convincing them to come forward and help the other people in need.

On Sunday, IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) released a video where cricket superstars including Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, and Yuzvendra Chahal urged people to follow all the guidelines prescribed by the medical authorities to keep themselves safe from Covid-19.

This time around, the runner-up of IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals have started a campaign named #ProjectPlasma to encourage people, who have survived coronavirus, to donate their plasma so that it can help other citizens battling the virus. DC took to their official Twitter handle to initiate this noble cause.

Delhi Capitals climb to the second spot

After a stunning campaign in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Delhi Capitals are enjoying a fine performance in IPL 2021 too. The franchise started the ongoing T20 Championship with a victory against three-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The franchise failed to keep up the winning momentum as they faced a defeat in the second outing against Rajasthan Royals. However, the Capitals scripted a spectacular comeback as they clinched their third game against Punjab Kings and followed it with two big victories against Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Delhi Capitals’ last win against SRH resulted in them dethroning Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to occupy the second position in the points table.
