Tendulkar, Lara raise road safety awareness in a unique way

The cricket carnival that the legendary cricketers are participating in, the Road Safety World Series, has a higher motive. Apart from allowing the fans to watch their favourite cricketers back in the field, it is also aimed to raise awareness of road safety. India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and West Indian legend Brian Lara came together to promote road safety in a unique way. Check out the following video posted by Sachin Tendulkar.

Alongside the video, Tendulkar also shared a solid message in his caption. “Be it riding on the roads or driving on the cricket field, wearing a helmet is a must! Let’s not take road safety lightly & always keep safety first by wearing the right helmet. Brian Lara, thanks for helping spread this message mate.”

In the video, Tendulkar and Lara are about to embark on a short trip in their hotel premises. After Lara forgets to bring his helmet, Tendulkar reminds him that the pillion should also wear a helmet and promptly hands him one. The Indian legend then realises that his own helmet has been replaced by a cricket helmet. He asks for the right one thus spreading an important message.

The legends are currently engaged in a blockbuster tournament that is nearing its end. India Legends led by Tendulkar defeated Brian Lara’s West Indies Legends in the first semi-final while Sri Lanka Legends overcame South Africa Legends to confirm their spot in the final. India Legends and Sri Lanka Legends will now face each other to decide the inaugural Road Safety World Series champion.
