Wasim Jaffer responds in style to a fan mocking him on Twitter

Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian cricketer, retired from all forms of cricket after the 2019-20 edition of the Ranji Trophy. He made his first-class debut way back in the 1996-97 season and went on to notch nearly 20,000 (19,410) runs with 57 centuries and 91 half-centuries to show for his efforts. Even after crossing the age of 40, Jaffer plundered double centuries with ease.

The 42-year-old recently dropped a hilarious message on the recent Border Gavaskar Trophy, which India won by 2-1. Entire India was elated with the triumph against Australia and Jaffer wasn’t any different either.

Wasim Jaffer shows his class on Twitter again

In the meantime, Jaffer took a sly dig at the Australian cricket team in his own trademark style. He took to Twitter and wrote, “So what’s gonna be the excuse this time? Ponting, McGrath, and Warne weren’t playing? #AUSvsIND.”

Thereafter, a fan tried to troll Jaffer back, showing the number of Tests the veteran played in his career. The fan took to Twitter and wrote, “@WasimJaffer14 How many test you played for India? have you ever think.”

However, Jaffer didn’t get overawed by the reply. He kept his calm and reverted to the fan with a classy reply.

Here’s the reply:

Jaffer made his Test debut way back in 2000 against South Africa at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Thereafter, he played 31 Tests in which he scored 1,944 runs at an average of 34.10 with five tons and 11 half-centuries to his name.
