Sachin Tendulkar shares a special message ahead of the vaccination drive
Cricket is a language that most of us Indians understand without difficulty. India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar shared a special message with the nation as India undertakes the largest vaccine drive in the world. The game’s greatest batsman gave an analogy with the Indian Test team currently playing in Australia and urged the nation to remain alert and healthy.
Here’s the tweet from Sachin Tendulkar

In the note that Tendulkar shared, he mentioned how our frontline warriors have given great sacrifices to keep our nation safe and secure from the deadly virus. They “have taken blows but they have kept the team from collapsing”. While the vaccination drive is underway, Tendulkar also reminded everyone to not drop their guards and continue to take safety precautions, practice social distancing and follow government directives. He completed the message by saying, “We can and we will win this together as a team.”
Recently in the 3rd Test against Australia in Sydney, the Indian team put up a similarly inspiring performance. Struggling with a long list of injuries, the Indian team fought bravely and secured a respectable draw on the final day of the Test match. Hanuma Vihari, batting with a torn hamstring, and Ravichandran Ashwin, suffering from severe back pain, batted out a crucial amount of overs to ensure India’s challenge remained alive in the series. The Master Blaster alluded to the fight shown by the Indian cricketers in that Test match.
