‘New fast bowler in the wings’ – Dinesh Karthik has a funny take on Rohit Sharma bowling in Brisbane Test
Rohit Sharma bowled a single delivery in the fourth Test and this caught the attention of wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik.
Right then. If you had convinced yourself that everything that could go against the Indian side with respect to injuries had already gone against them prior to the start of the fourth Test and things have just started to settle down, then you are surely in for a surprise.
Saini was the latest casualty for the Indian side. Off the fifth ball of the 36th over, Saini bowled a length delivery, Labuschagne edged it and the ball went straight to skipper Rahane at gully, but he floored it. But then, what was more worrying for India was the fact that Saini immediately went to the ground, holding his leg in pain. The physio later came in, and Saini had to walk away.
The injury spree continued for India, so much so, that the Indian skipper threw the ball to Rohit Sharma. The ‘Hitman’ bowled a single delivery to complete Saini’s unfinished over. This caught the attention of wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik, and he let his thoughts known to the world in a funny manner on Twitter. Karthik put out a GIF of American Superhero ‘The Flash’ and warned both Bumrah and Shami that a new fast bowler is waiting in the wings.

Marnus Labuschagne leads Australian fightback:
As far as the fourth Test is concerned, Australia have come back into the game after their openers fell cheaply. Labuschagne proved to be the catalyst of the Australian batting line up as he notched his fifth test hundred. For India, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Washington Sundar have taken a wicket apiece, with Sundar scalping the prized wicket of Steve Smith.
It would indeed be a special feeling for both Washington Sundar and T Natarajan as the duo are making their Test match debuts today. The four-match Test series is evenly poised at 1-1, and the winner of the fourth Test at The Gabba will walk away with the Border Gavaskar trophy.
Australia made a solitary change to the side that took the field in Sydney, as Will Pucovski injured his shoulder in the third Test and was out with injury, and Marcus Harris took his place. However, Harris could not make the opportunity count, as the opener was dismissed for just 5, off the bowling of Shardul Thakur.
