Australia star Steve Smith is obsessed with batting and his wife Dani Willis has proved it again by sharing a hilarious clip of the batsman. The former Australia skipper is going through one of his leanest phases as a batsman in Tests and will be desperate to score big in the upcoming third Test against India a the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Smith has not scored a Test century since September 2019 when he played the 211-run knock in Manchester during the Ashes. Since then, he has scored only 4 fifties. Surprisingly, Smith has struggled to perform at home in the last couple of seasons. In last season, he scored just one fifty in five Tests while his form this season has been even worse.

Smith started the home season with two back-to-back ODI tons against India. But since then, India have managed to keep him silent especially in the ongoing Test series. In four innings so far, he has scored 1, 1*, 0, and 8. With Australia’s batting faltering in the first two Tests, the hosts will be hoping that their batting mainstay delivers in the crucial third Test, scheduled to start on Thursday (January 7).

What would a person do if he meets his wife after more than four months? Well, if the person is Steve Smith then he makes sure to take some time out to train with his bat even in the hotel room. Smith’s wife Dani Willis recently shared a hilarious clip of the batting star from the hotel room where he could be seen in the full Test kit and practice his shots.

Meanwhile, Smith and Dani recently reunited after staying away from each other for more than four months. Smith was away from his wife since August 31 and was set to reunite with her on Christmas. He was so excited about it that he had even posted about the meeting on Instagram.

However, he could not celebrate Christmas with Dani because of the new rules introduced by Cricket Australia following a COVID-19 outbreak. But the couple recently met after Dani completed her quarantine period.
