AUS vs IND: Rohit Sharma reacts to India’s T20I series win against Australia
After losing the first two ODIs of the three-match series to start the tour, Team India have found their mojo. They defeated Australia in the third ODI and then have won the opening two T20Is to seal the three-match series. More than the ODIs, India looked comprehensive in their approach as they registered their 10th consecutive T20I win away from home on Sunday.
And Rohit Sharma is delighted after a thrilling win in the second T20 International for India. He has missed the white-ball leg of the crucial tour due to the hamstring injury. There has been a controversy over his injury management as the cricketer played the playoffs for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has also been ruled out of two of the four-match Test series and will be assessed now on December 11.
Coming back to his delight over India’s win at the SCG on Sunday, Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to express himself and liked the way the team played in challenging circumstances.
Here’s his tweet:
What a series win for Team India. Loved the way they played nice and composed. Big ? to each one of them. @BCCI

India win the last-over thriller
After winning the toss, India had to face the wrath of stand-in Australia skipper Matthew Wade who slammed a 25-ball half-century. Rest of the batsmen rode on the momentum scoring quick runs and led Australia to a massive total of 194/5 in their 20 overs. T Natarajan was the best bowler for India returning with the figures of 2/20 in his four overs.
Chasing the target, the duo of Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul added 56 runs in less than six overs. The former scored 52 off 36 balls while Virat Kohli got out after scoring 40 off just 24 balls. But when he got out, the team still needed runs at more than 12 an over and this is when Hardik Pandya stepped up showing his finishing skills to the world. Though the required run-rate soared, he didn’t budge and helped the team get over the line in the final over.
