5 International cricketers who gave good news in this lockdown
Since the coronavirus pandemic has taken over the world, people have been witnessing gloomy fields and empty stadiums. The last time the Indian squad was seen in action before the COVID-19 induced lockdown was against New Zealand earlier this year in February. The only bright spot about the lockdown was that players got to spend ample time alongside their family, which they hardly get while being on back to back tours and practice sessions.
While it was not a good period in terms of cricketing action, some cricketers around the world have treated their fans with some good news amid lockdown miseries.
1. Virat Kohli
The Indian skipper and his beautiful wife Anushka Sharma took the internet by storm after they broke the news of becoming parents soon. The most adorable couple took to their Instagram handle and posted a cute picture where the actress flaunted her baby bump. The post was captioned as- “And then we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”
2. AB de Villiers
South African legend AB de Villiers and his wife Danielle de Villiers treated their fans with the amazing news of expecting their third child together. The lovely couple already has 2-adorable sons and is set to become parents for the third time. Danielle took to her Instagram to announce the happy news. She was seen posing with a baby bump in a black outfit and wrote, “hello baby girl.”
3. Hardik Pandya
Fabulous all-rounder Hardik Pandya broke pregnancy news of his wife and Serbian model Natasa Stankovic through an Instagram post at the end of May. He shared some beautiful pictures from the baby shower and wrote, “Natasa and I have had a great journey together, and it is just about to get better Together. We are excited to welcome a new life into our lives very soon. We’re thrilled for this new phase of our life and seek your blessings and wishes.” The couple welcomed their baby boy in the world on July 30 and named him Agastya.
4. Faf du Plessis
The South African great Faf du Plessis broke the news of becoming parents again with wife Imari du Plessis on August 20. He posted their picture in hospital attire with a mask on and wrote-
“The Miracle of a new life coming into this world makes me stop and just be in awe of creation and how perfectly and wonderfully we’re created. Welcome, Zoey to this wonderful world. We will love you unconditionally, and I will protect with everything I have. Love you”
5. Shakib Al Hasan
The Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan treated fans with good news while he welcomed his second baby girl into the world on May 12 this year. He announced the news through an Instagram post where he was seen posing cutely with his beautiful wife Umme Ahmed Shishir.
He captioned the post as- “Our baby errum our jannat Masha Allah Alhamdulillah.” They already have one more daughter named Alayna. The lovely couple has been married for 8-years now.
