MS Dhoni tweets for the first time since February 14!

Dhoni

Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni – sounds odd, isn’t it? Almost doesn’t add up. But this is how it’s going to be. The former India captain on Thursday (August 20) took to Twitter for the first time since February 14! And no, it wasn’t a Valentine’s Day message for his wife Sakshi.

In fact, it was MS just being MS. A post on his Instagram page was cross-posted on Twitter and he probably wouldn’t have realised it. Dhoni isn’t the typical social media geek. He rarely posts anything from his own account, offering no glimpse whatsoever into his life beyond the 22 yards. Simply put, he just doesn’t care for these things. And this is what makes him a ‘wanted’ personality in the virtual space. Every picture or a video clip that features Dhoni is either snapped by the paparazzi, his fans or his wife. And the fans love it!

So on Thursday, when Dhoni finally tweeted after a gap of almost five months, social media was abuzz.

Find out what made him do so!

The 39-year-old’s retirement on August 15 left the entire nation in a state of shock. It was no surprise that even India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi took this long to gather his thoughts and pen them down. In his letter, the Prime Minister thanked India’s Captain Cool for the timeless moments he has given to Indian cricket all these years. He also thanked Dhoni for his association with the Indian Armed Forces.

Once again, Dhoni, in his own unassuming style, replied with a simple thank you.
