Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been isolated after he was found breaching the biosecurity protocols on Wednesday (August 12). The cricketer posed for a photo with a member of the public on a golf course, PCB’s official release stated.

Hafeez was present a golf course adjacent to the Rose Bowl in Southampton, following which he tweeted a photo from his official account.

The cricketer has already undertaken a Covid-19 test, the result of which will return on Thursday.

“This morning, Mohammad Hafeez went to a golf course, which is adjacent to the team hotel and part of the bio-secure bubble. During the golf round, he was photographed with a member of the public, which he subsequently posted on his social media account,” the release said on Wednesday.

“As it was evident from the photograph that he had breached the two-metre social distancing protocol and following a consultation process with the team doctor, the team management has decided to isolate him until he returns a negative Covid-19 test. Hafeez underwent the Covid-19 test late Wednesday afternoon and the result is expected at some stage on Thursday.”

Hafeez was already in the news before departing for the England tour. The all-rounder had tested positive for the virus once, after which he underwent private tests and had tested negative. Hafeez then returned two more negative tests, post which he was cleared to travel to the UK. He will be seen in action during the T20I series.
