Wishes pour in for Mithali Raj as India women’s ODI captain turns 37

India’s iconic cricketer Mithali Raj turns 37 today. The batswoman from Rajasthan is the current national captain in ODI format. She has featured in 209 ODIs for India and has amassed 6,888 runs with seven centuries and 53 fifties. She played in 10 Test matches as well. Her T20I career consists of 89 games but recently retired from the shortest format. Mithali’s 20-year long career makes her one of the most recognisable names in women’s cricket.

The leading run-scorer in women’s ODI cricket celebrated her birthday today, as wishes poured in from all quarters.

A twitter user, Sarang Bhalerao recounted Mithali’s achievements on her special day.

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu also revealed that she will be playing Mithali’s role in the biopic “Shabaash Mithu” based on cricketer’s life.
