Social Buzz: Indian cricketers celebrate Karva Chauth with their wives
The festival of Karva Chauth is widely revered across India. It is a one-day event celebrated four days after Purnima (full-moon day) in the month of Kartika. During this auspicious occasion, wives undertake a day-long fast for good health and prolonged lives of their husbands. The fast is only broken when the moon rises with the husband traditionally feeding their wives their first meal of the day. Despite cricketers and their wives being some of the biggest celebrities in India, they are undoubtedly deeply steeped in the country’s rich culture. This year too saw many Indian cricketers and their wives celebrating Karva Chauth and sharing snaps on their social media platforms. Here we take a look at a few of them.
