RCB vs DC Preview: Bengaluru up against in-form Delhi

The IPL 2025 continues with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match No. 24 at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday, April 10.
The home team is currently in great spirits as they have managed three wins in four games so far. Their intent with the bat has worked well away from home, but it backfired against the Gujarat Titans at home. Against the Capitals, they will need to fine-tune that approach to get the desired results. Rajat Patidar, who has impressed many with his leadership qualities, will be excited to lead his side to another win and break DC’s winning streak.
On the other hand, the Axar Patel-led unit is the only unbeaten side this season. With a balanced squad, they managed to register wins against Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings, respectively. DC has ticked all boxes so far with both their experienced and young players stepping up at the right time. They will be happy to have Faf du Plessis back in the XI after the South African missed the previous game due to illness. Notably, the last six times these two sides have faced each other, RCB has come out victorious on five occasions.
Pitch Report
The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is known to be a batting paradise. With short boundaries and a surface that generally favours the batters, it has been the venue of many high-scoring games over the years. Although the pitch for the upcoming game might have a noticeable green shade, provides some help for pacers with the new ball. However, a 200-plus total would not be a surprise. The average first-innings score here is 178, and while chasing teams have had a slight edge. The weather will be partly cloudy with just an 11% chance of rain.
