IPL 2025 Auction: SRH squad analysis
Sunrisers Hyderabad retained Heinrich Klaasen, Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Nitish Reddy ahead of the IPL mega-auction. They were highly impactful for the franchise in the last edition and can be dangerous for the team in future years. Hyderabad had done half their job before and in the auction, as they signed some quality local talents and now look ready to challenge for the title.
Last year, they played an aggressive brand of cricket, breaking multiple records. This year, they added more firepower to their arsenal in the form of Ishan Kishan, who can massively strengthen their batting unit and is consistently at the top of the order. SRH have arguably sealed their batting and in the bowling department, they have added the experience of Mohammed Shami, Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Rahul Chahar, and Adam Zampa.
On paper, SRH looks to be a strong unit that can challenge for its second title in the competition. They have decent backup options as well. Abhinav Manohar, Simarjit Singh, Kamindi Mendis, and Atharva Taide are good options and can prove their value if given the opportunity.
