Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is underway with India beating Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The series is the garners immense attention after the Ashes. India has won the most number of trophies in comparison with Australia. The series has also seen some rising stars stamping their authority and performing under challenging conditions.

3. 23y 80d – Virat Kohli, 116(213), Adelaide, 2012

Virat Kohli debuted for India in 2008 with an ODI against Sri Lanka. He went on to play his first Test in 2011 against West Indies. Within just one year of his red-ball debut, he was thrown the challenge of facing the deadly Australians down under. On his very first tour to Australia in 2012, he notched up 116 off 213 balls laced with 11 boundaries and one maximum. India lost the series 0-4.

2. 22y 263d – KL Rahul, 110(262), Sydney, 2015

KL Rahul is one of the most stylish batters to watch when he is on song. He made his Test debut during India’s tour to Australia in 2014-25. He was handed the cap in the third Test and he made amends in the fourth Test scoring 110 off 262 laced with 13 boundaries and one maximum. Though the match was drawn, India lost the series 0-2.

1. 21y 91d – Rishabh Pant, 159*(189), Sydney, 2019

This was the series where India scripted history by winning their first-ever Test series in Australia. Pant made his Test debut in Nottingham against England in 2018. Almost a year later he was in Australia, India was leading the series 2-1 with the fourth Test needed to be in the visitor’s favour or turn into a draw. Pant scored 159 off just 189 balls batting at No. 7. He smashed 15 boundaries and one maximum as India managed to draw the game and win the series 2-1.
