5 players with the most IPL half-centuries
A batter hopes to score the landmark 50 runs in any format and in any tournament for his side and for his personal milestone. Irrespective of the format, a batter notching up 50 or more runs helps his team in posting a good total on the board or following the target in the run-chase. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), few batters have consistently scored the fifties since its inception way back in the year 2008.
Let’s take a look at 5 players with the most fifties in the history of the IPL:
5.Suresh Raina (39)
Suresh Raina, who is also called ‘Mr.IPL’, has scored the fifth most half-centuries in the history of the IPL. The left-handed batter, who played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the now-defunct Gujarat Lions in the league, has scored 39 fifties in 205 matches. Raina, who went unsold in the 2022 auction, has amassed 5528 runs in 200 innings at an average of 32.51.
4.AB de Villiers and Rohit Sharma (40)

Playing for Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians (MI), he has mustered 5766 runs in 217 innings at an average of 30.50.
3.Virat Kohli (43)
The highest run-getter in the history of the competition, Virat Kohli has smashed the third-most fifties in the league. The run-machine Kohli has slammed 43 half-centuries in 218 matches for RCB. He has been playing for only one franchise since the inaugural season and has racked up 6499 runs in 210 innings at an average of 36.51.
