3 youngest batters to score a century at Lord’s
Lords has always been a special venue and no wonder it is called the ‘home of cricket’. The century makers get their names on the Lord’s honours board, which is one of the remarkable achievements for all cricketers. The crowd at the venue has been splendid over the years and it is not easy for the touring teams to dominate at the venue. The ground has a hill slope view which makes it fascinating and it cannot get better in terms of pavilions. Here are three youngest batters to score a century at Lord’s.
21y 34d – Denis Compton vs West Indies in 1939
In the 1939 West Indies tour of England, Denis Compton scored a marvellous century at the Lord’s in the first innings for the home side. Coming in at five, Compton stitched a 248-run partnership with Len Hutton for the fourth wicket and helped his side to take a decisive lead in the first innings. Compton was just 21 years and 34 days during his well-made 120 and he still holds the record for the youngest batter to score a century at Lord’s.

In the 1962 Pakistan tour of England, Nasim Ul Ghani got his name on the Lord’s honours boards with a stunning century in the second innings.
