In the Indian Premier League (IPL), there have been many matches where both the sides smashed a lot of fours to register themselves in the record books.

3.CSK vs MI, CSK vs PBKS, PBKS vs CSK, RCB vs MI, KKR vs GL (43)
Five matches in the history of the IPL had witnessed a total of 43 fours smashed from both sides in the match. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Chennai in 2008, CSK against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali in 2011, CSK against PBKS in Cuttack in 2014, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Mumbai in Bangalore in 2015 and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against the now-defunct Gujarat Lions (GL) in Kolkata in 2017 were the games in which 43 fours were struck.
2.PBKS vs SRH (44)
44 fours were slammed in a clash between PBKS and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Mohali in 2017. SRH batted first and struck 19 fours to post a massive total of 207/3 in their allotted 20 overs. In a high-scoring encounter, PBKS registered 25 fours to score 181/9, subsequently losing the encounter by 26 runs.
1.GL vs DC, SRH vs MI (51)
GL and Delhi Capitals (DC) played out a match in Kanpur in the year 2017 where a total of 51 fours were registered. GL batted first and smacked 20 fours to post 195/5 while DC slammed 31 fours to win a thriller of a game by two wickets in 19.4 overs.
51 fours were also struck in a game between SRH and MI in Abu Dhabi in 2021. MI batted first and hit 30 fours to score235/9 before SRH slammed 21 as they fell short of the target by 42 runs.
