3 IPL teams who have been bowled out below 100 most times

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has witnessed some great matches over the seasons where teams have just blown away the opposition by posting huge totals on the board. Many times sides have crossed the 200-run mark but there are some teams who have faltered miserably to even get dismissed for under 100 runs in the competition.

Let’s take a look at 3 teams who have been bowled out for less than 100 runs most times in IPL:

3.Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) (5)

The winners of the inaugural season RR and five times champions MI both have been dismissed below 100 runs five times in the history of IPL. Both the sides share the third spot jointly for getting bowled out for less than 100 runs five times. RR’s scores have come twice against RCB and KKR each. They were dismissed for shambolic scores of 58 and 92 against RCB in 2009 and 2010 respectively while against KKR they managed 81 and 85 in 2011 and 2021 respectively. Their score of 97 came against Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011. MI scored just 87 and 92 runs against SRH in 2018 and 2016 with the other scores being 87 against PBKS in 2011, 92 against DC in 2012, and 92 against RR in 2013.

2. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) (6)

RCB has been dismissed for under 100 runs six times in IPL and also has the lowest total in IPL history. They managed just 49 runs against KKR in the year 2017. Their other two lowest scores of 82 and 92 have also come against KKR in the 2008 and 2021 seasons respectively. A score of 82 came in the first match of IPL ever in Bangalore where Brendon McCullum kick-started the IPL in style. They have registered two totals of 70 and 87 against CSK in the 2019 and 2009 editions. RCB also got bowled out for just 70 runs against RR in Abu Dhabi in 2014.

1.Delhi Capitals (DC) (10)

DC has got all out below 100 runs for the most times in the tournament history which is ten. Thrice such instances have come against the CSK side. They scored only 83, 84, and 99 runs against them in the years 2013, 2014, and 2019 respectively. Two totals of 66 and 95 have come against the most successful team in IPL, Mumbai Indians, in 2017 and 2011. The other five totals of less than 100 they suffered against RCB, PBKS, SRH, KKR, and RR.
