3 highest score as wicketkeeper in the IPL
Over the years in the Indian Premier League, the fans have witnessed several top-notch batting performances. However, the value of multi-utility players is even more. On that note, let us take a look at the three highest scores as wicketkeeper-batter in IPL.
3. Rishabh Pant vs SRH in 2018
Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was on fire during the 2018 edition of the IPL. The left-handed batter scored 684 runs in 14 games, with his best knock coming against SRH, where he stroked an unbeaten 128 runs and smashed 15 fours and seven maximums in his innings. However, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) went on to lose that contest against the Orange Army.
2. KL Rahul vs RCB in 2020
Former Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul was in his full flow as he scored a blistering 69-ball 132 not out against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) during a group stage match of IPL 2020. The Kings from Punjab managed to win the contest easily and crush RCB by a margin of 97 runs at the Dubai International Cricket stadium. The PBKS skipper Rahul was adjudged player of the match for his excellent batting knock.
1. Quinton de Kock vs KKR in 2022
The wicketkeeper-batter from the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) showed no mercy against the two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders as he smashed an unbeaten 140 against the Men in Purple. To note, de Kock was dropped early in his innings and he made his opposition pay the price. The left-handed batter never looked troubled after that as he mauled the KKR bowlers and help his side to post a huge total. LSG went on to win that contest and De Kock was adjudged player of the match for his 70-ball knock that had 10 fours and as many sixes.
