3 Bowlers who might get India call-up for South Africa T20Is

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) coming to the business end, the focus will now soon shift on South Africa tour of India 2022 as the Proteas side take on the Men in Blue in a five-match T20I series starting from June 9 in Delhi. The remaining matches will be played at Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot and Bengaluru respectively.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to announce the Indian squad for the series. The selectors might also look at the performances of players in the ongoing IPL season and select players on that basis. On that note, let us take a look at three bowlers who might get India call-up for South Africa T20Is.

3. Mohsin Khan (Lucknow Super Giants)

The new entrants Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bagged the services of pacer Mohsin Khan after paying INR 20 lakhs in IPL 2022 mega auction. Since then, the left-arm pacer from Uttar Pradesh has bowled some excellent spells in IPL 2022. In last five matches, Mohsin has some excellent figures of 1/18, 1/6, 4/16, 3/24 and 1/27. With such promising performances, Mohsin might end up earning his debut cap immediately after the IPL.

2. Arshdeep Singh (Punjab Kings)

Despite not being among the wickets, the left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has shown some of the most excellent death bowling skills in IPL 2022. The left-arm pacer was retained by PBKS ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction and he has delivered for his team at some crucial junctures, but most crucially in the death overs, where his economy rate has stood out.

1. Mukesh Choudhary (Chennai Super Kings)

In the absence of their premier new ball bowler, pacer Mukesh Choudhary has bowled some excellent spells for the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The left-arm pacer is currently the second highest wicket-taker behind veteran DJ Bravo. He has stepped up for his team in the absence of Deepak Chahar, who has been ruled out due to an injury.
